Water in 15 lines | Essay | Information | Paragraph | Free

Water means life. Water is necessary component for all living beings. World water Day is celebrated on 22 March. This day is celebrated so that everybody should know the importance of water and also should conserve it. Water is necessary for drinking, bathing, cooking, washing clothes and utensils and also water is used in factories, etc. 71% of earth's surface is covered with water. But out of this only 2.5 percent of it is fresh. And therefore it is necessary to conserve water. Maximum percentage of water available on the earth is saline and which cannot be used by humans. Only 1percent of water is available for human use. No life without water. Drinking water is available only in lakes, ponds, rivers, or groundwater or in the form of rain (which is the main source of water). In villages, towns wells are dug or handpumps are also available, dams are also built. These dams store plenty of water. These dams are filled with rain water. Where there is no rain there is draught. And due to draught many organisms die conservation of water is necessary.

Mango Day | Poem

You call me king of all the fruits
See how lovely I look!

I am fat and juicy
Do you think I am lazy?

I have different colours like
Orange, green and yellow
You see I am a sweet fellow.

I am sour when I am raw
And I am sweet when I am ripe
You can have me as you like.

I am Alphanso
I come in summer and go.

I don't like rain
It gives me pain.

So keep me in hay
To get me in a ripen way
So, happy mango day.

GANESH FESTIVAL | Essay | Paragraph | Article | Free

Ganapati festival also known as Ganesh Chaturthi; is a festival of Hindus, but people all over the world celebrate this festival with great joy and unity. This festival is celebrated in the month of August-September. In this, it is said that Ganapati lives with us for ten days and later on; on the eleventh day he goes back to his house. Ganapati is the favourite of all; because when he comes everybody gets excited, comes together and celebrate this festival.
Lord Ganapati is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He likes to eat modak and laddus especially made by his mother Goddess Parvati. He is also known by many names like Ganapati, Vinayaka, Moreshwara, Sidhivinayak, Vighnaharta, etc. Children like Lord Ganesh very much because he is very clever and intelligent. It is also said that Lord Ganesh is the God of all knowledge and wealth. He has two wives Goddess Saraswathi and Goddess Lakshmi.

In this festival, on the first day Lord Ganesh idol is brought in home with full of happiness and joy and people also play drum. After arrival of Lord Ganesh, his pooja is done and prasad is given to all. In this way when Ganesh comes, beautiful lightings and decorations are also done. In some places Goddess Gauri is also brought as she is sister of Lord Ganesh. When she comes more food items are prepared such as Chakli, Balushahi, different types of Laddus, Modak and many more sweet dishes are prepared. People sing songs in joy and Goddess Gauri is welcomed.

In some places many games and prizes are arranged for people to enjoy. Many competitions like dances, singing, music are also arranged.

This festival was started by Lokmanya Tilak. He started this festival in Pune so that all people should come together and enjoy and also to spread awareness about the freedom struggle against British.

On the eleventh day Ganapati is immersed and on this day people say bye-bye to Lord Ganesh and also pray so that He could come early next time.

Nowadays; Ganpati idols are made up of red soil and are coloured by natural colours so that they can easily get dissolved in water. Some people use plaster of Paris to make idol but it does not dissolve in water and hence gets accumulated somewhere in the lakes or ponds and marine life gets disturbed and is harmed. And therefore, idols made with soil and decorated with natural colours only should be used. Due to this people who are celebrating in their homes can do immersion in home only by immersing the idol in bucket, drums, filled with water and also this water can be used for plants and the soil can be used to plant plants; this can give us a feeling that Lord Ganesh is there with us all the time. Some people use thermocol to decorate but since thermocol is not good for environment, instead of this paper or cardboard or any such type of materials should be used, so that we can become environment friendly and also environment friendly the festival can be celebrated.

Since, "Cleanliness is next to godliness," we should keep our house, city, nation  clean by adopting some good habits. "Green city, clean city" so we should use more naturally available materials and also materials made up of natural materials for decorating Ganpati idols and make them environment friendly; so that Ganesha is also with us all the time.

            Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!!
